Frequently Asked Questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens 100% in your browser using JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js). Your files never leave your device. This means your documents stay completely private.
What image formats can I convert to PDF?
You can convert JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and SVG images to PDF. You can add multiple images and they will each become a page in the PDF. Choose from A4, Letter, Legal page sizes or fit the page to the image.
What quality are the PDF-to-image conversions?
You can choose from 1x (72 DPI), 2x (144 DPI), or 3x (216 DPI) scale. The 2x option is the default and works great for most uses. Use 3x for print-quality output. Output formats include PNG, JPEG, and WebP.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no hard server-side limit since everything processes locally. However, very large files (over 50MB) may be slower depending on your device's memory and processing power. For best performance, keep files under 30MB.
Can I merge more than two PDFs?
Yes. You can merge as many PDF files as you want. Simply drop or select all the PDFs you want to combine, arrange them in order, and click Merge. All pages from all files are combined into a single PDF.
Does the text-to-PDF converter support formatting?
The text-to-PDF mode supports plain text with automatic word wrapping, configurable font sizes (10-18pt), an optional document title, and A4 or Letter page sizes. It handles multi-page documents and preserves paragraph breaks.
